On Jul 12th,2022, General Intelligence (Cambodia) Co., LTD., the overseas subsidiary of General Science Group signed a strategic cooperation agreementonline with American Pacific Industries, Inc.
Gu Cui, Chairman of GS, Gu Yahong, General Manager of GS, Jeff Kreitzman, CEO of API, Barry Littrell, COO of API, Marty Krcelic, President of Sales witnessed the strategic signing ceremony.
Top management of both sides took the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to conduct in-depth dialogue on the development trend of the global industry and the layout of international development. The strategic cooperation is a deep expansion between GS and API. Mr. Gu said that GS and API share the same forward-looking vision for the development trend of the industry globalization. Founded in 1982, API now is a world's leading tire dealer who has been deeply involved in the North American market for more than 30 years. Discount Tire, the world's largest tire retailer and STM, the largest TBR seller in North America are all API's loyal customers. API also partnered with SHELBY, the world-leading high performance vehicle manufacturer to provide OE tyres.
In the post-epidemic era, 2022 is a challenging year for the tire industry. However,domestic and international Dual Circulation Development Patternbrings new opportunities to China's tire industry. GS seized the "One Belt and One Road" development opportunities, launched the "5X Strategic Plan" to accelerate the international industrial layout. Since its opening of Thailand factory, it has achieved good results in both production and sales.
Based on Thailand factory success, GS invested another $300 million to build the Cambodia factory, which is the first project of over $100 million invested by Jiangsu Province in a RCEP member country after the RCEP agreement came into effect. The Cambodia project is located in the Sihanoukville Special Zone, which is the only state-level trade cooperation zone that has signed a bilateral government agreement between China and Cambodia. It has a unique project foundation and perfect supporting facilities, with broad prospects for development. Cambodia factory is currently under accelerated construction, with the goal of producing the first tire by the end of December.GS will rely on the three production bases in China, Thailand and Cambodia to form an international development pattern with complementary advantages and resource sharing.
